LETICIA PARDO is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice lies in the boundaries between architecture, research and art.
Her background in exhibition design has largely influenced the way in which she constructs creative expression. Through her work, Leticia explores subjects like migration, place-making, citizenship across borders, identity and belonging, and how these manifest in the city.
Her ongoing project Greetings from Chicagoacán documents the architectural, visual and aesthetic codes of neighborhoods in which Mexican immigrants have established in Chicago. Employing tools common to architecture and visual storytelling, the installation depicts buildings which have been intervened by their users as a way of place-making within the (segregated) city.
